Push Button Sales Letters Reviewed
I know that reviewers are supposed to by hyper-critical, and even pan more than a few products, but today I'm going to rave about one ...
It's Marlon Sanders' Push Button Letters. For those who don't know, this is software that is designed to lead you through the same process that Marlon goes through when he writes those killer sales letters he's so famous for.
To my great delight, the product lived up to its promise, at least for me. I was up and running in a few minutes, and in about thirty minutes I had cranked out a decent sales letter on the first try.
After a little polishing, it will be all set to go.
Before buying this product, I had spent several hours trying to come up with a decent sales page for an ebook I was about to publish. I had come up with some good ideas, but the page was still bland.
After about half an hour with the software, I had a much improved version of my sales page. I plan to integrate the result with a few things I had previously come up with on my own, and I fully anticipate being able to proudly post a killer sales letter.
As promised, the software leads you step-by-step through the process of creating your sales letter. It asks you a few questions, and you literally "fill in the blanks" of a sales letter template. Your sales page will be structured very much as though Marlon had written it himself.
Features, benefits, establishing your credibility, your price, and your guarantee are all there, waiting for you to fill in the information. It even reminds you of the value of testimonials, and helps you format how they will be displayed.
A few suggestions are given along the way, but not many. That was one of the few things that I felt were lacking in the software. I wish it had provided me a few more examples than it did, and I didn't find either a grammar checker or spell checker.
Otherwise, I loved Push Button Letters.
The only other thing I could think of to criticize about it is the fact that most sales letters written with this software are going to have somewhat similar wording. The user does input certain variables, but the finished salse letter has a good deal of "boilerplate" in it. Some of that is by design, of course, because Marlon structures a sales letter in a particular way.
Since I am blending the output from the program with my own rough draft, my finished letter will come out looking quite different from the standard program output, and won't be an obvious "marlon knockoff". Others who want to "customize" their sales letter could do that too, of course.
The software also lets you select wallpaper, colors, fonts, and various images such as buttons, so that you end up with a very professional looking page when you're done. Really all you need in addition is your "thank you" page and legal disclaimers, and you'd have a finished sales mini-site.
It seems like I'm often disappointed when I buy a product, but that is definitely not the case with Push Button Letters. I'm a pretty good writer, but I had never had reason to write sales copy before,so the software was both helpful and educational for me.
In fact, the software is so easy to use, and the resulting page so well structured, that I would bet that even someone who "can't write at all" could come up with a decent result.
Personally, I think this software saved me many hours, and has helped me to come up with a sales letter much better than what I would have done on my own.
Given the value, I'd give this product a big thumbs up, and say that it's well worth the price.
